About Us

Wegro Farming (Pty) Ltd is a third-generation family-runned business established more than 30 years ago.

The first pineapples were planted 55 years ago in the 1960's by the founder Mr Dries Bisschoff. Today Wegro Farming has grown into the largest Queen pineapple producer in South Africa and has established itself as the leading brand in Queen pineapples.

In the early 90's the business expanded into packaging with the establishment of Bes Boks (Pty) Ltd, who supplies the whole of the fresh pineapple industry for its local and export requirements in packaging.

In 2017 Wegro Pineapple Processors (Pty) Ltd was established to produce a high quality

NFC (Not From Concentrate) juice in various packaging and sizes. Wegro Pineapple Juice has been

freshly introduced to the South African market with the inception into the Food Lover's Market Family

since March 2018.

Since then Wegro has been finding its way into the hearts of all juice loving people.
